Soft-spoken, music-loving, mysterious transfer student Minato Arisato quickly found himself in the middle of strange events after returning to his hometown of Iwatodai. The Dark Hour, the hidden 25th hour only percieved by people with 'potential', existed as a realm where monsters called 'Shadows' preyed on people's minds. Only those with a special power called a Persona were able to fight the Shadows. After awakening to his ability, Minato joined other classmates in S.E.E.S, the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad, to protect the city.

Over the course of the school year, Minato and his new friends in S.E.E.S worked to unravel the mystery behind Shadows and the Dark Hour. They eventually discovered answers and danger beyond what they had imagined - and succeeded in overcoming the trials before them. However, that victory did not come without a price...
